## Own the means of thinking.

Artificial intelligence is becoming a new layer of human capability. It will shape how we work, create, learn, remember, make decisions and build livelihoods.

Who should control it?

**You should.**

Meaningful control means choice: the freedom to use a model, leave a platform, replace an agent and take your history with you.

Your memory should travel with you. Your identity should be yours. Your tools should work together. Your relationships should outlast the systems that introduced you.

And when you help create value, you should be able to share in it.

This is the Independent AI Economy we want to build.

## Use the labs. Don’t belong to the labs.

The AI labs are building extraordinary technology. Use it.

Choose the best models for your work. Combine them. Run some locally and others remotely. Replace them when your needs change.

A model is a component. Your work, memory and relationships should survive its replacement.

That is where sovereignty begins: the ability to change your technology without starting your life over.

## The person becomes the platform.

The internet taught us to organize our lives around platforms. Our work lives in one place, our audience in another, our history somewhere else. Each system holds a fragment of us.

Personal AI offers a different arrangement: capabilities organized around the person.

Your knowledge, memory, tools and agents, working together on your terms. Your communities and economic relationships, connected through systems you can choose and leave.

**The person becomes the platform.**

## Your memory should belong to you.

An AI that understands you over time can become more useful than one that merely answers the next question well.

That understanding should not disappear when you change providers.

Your history should not be a switching cost. Your context should not be captivity. Memory should be a durable personal asset that you can inspect, correct, move or delete.

The agent can change. The model can change. The interface can change.

**You remain.**

Memory, identity, tools and agents should organize around the person.

## Build without permission.

The future of AI should emerge from millions of independent builders: developers, designers, researchers, teachers, creators, operators, small businesses and communities.

People solving narrow problems. People with unusual ideas. People making things no central product roadmap would prioritize.

An agent. A workflow. An integration. A tutorial. A memory system. A useful combination of things that already exist.

We call these **Builds**.

The cultural unit of Agents of Mind is simple:

**Make something useful and show the community.**

Share what works, what failed and what someone else could build on.

## Open enough to build a life on.

Open source gives people access to software. Economic independence asks more.

Can you own the customer relationship? Carry your reputation elsewhere? Earn directly? Collaborate with other builders? Distribute one another’s work without surrendering your business to an intermediary?

These freedoms matter alongside access to code.

Technology should be open enough to build a life on.

## Contribution should count.

A sale rarely begins with the seller.

Someone built the integration. Someone explained the product. An expert tested it. A community established trust. A customer recommended it. Someone made the introduction or solved the implementation problem.

Those contributions help create the outcome. Economic systems should be better at recognizing them.

Our principle is:

**Contribution → Attribution → Value → Distribution.**

We call this **CoSelling**: a way for people to participate in the commerce they help create.

It should reward useful contributions through clear terms and accountable attribution. Recommendations should remain honest, and commercial incentives should be visible.

## Community should create an economy.

Useful content starts conversations. Conversations build community. Communities create opportunities for commerce. Commerce can reward contributors and fund new work.

Our flywheel is:

**Content → Community → Commerce → CoSelling → Campaigns → Content**

Contribution becomes more powerful when communities can turn it into attribution, value and new missions.

Each turn should leave something behind: knowledge someone can use, a relationship worth keeping, a builder who can keep building.

Growth matters when it expands what members can do.

## Give people a mission. Leave room for invention.

A campaign might begin with a challenge:

**Build an AI that remembers.**

One builder creates a tutor. Another makes a research partner, a business assistant or a family archive. Others build the memory tools they all need.

The mission gives people a shared direction. Builders choose their approaches, compare results and learn from one another.

That is how independent work becomes collective progress.

## Agents should expand human agency.

Agents will increasingly research, recommend, create, negotiate and transact. They will act within our economy, often on our behalf.

They should make individuals and small groups more capable, and remain accountable to them.

People should be able to understand what an agent is authorized to do, change those permissions and replace it. Agents should cooperate across systems without trapping the people who depend on them.

**More capable agents should mean more capable people.**

## Start small. Build real things.

We begin with people who make useful things, share what they learn and help others succeed.

One Build. One customer. One collaboration. One community that becomes stronger because its members contribute.

Our principles are straightforward:

- **Own your intelligence.** Keep meaningful control over your AI, memory and identity.

- **Choose your technology.** Use what serves you. Replace what no longer does.

- **Build without permission.** Make useful things and let others build on them.

- **Participate in the value.** Make contribution visible and give contributors a fair way to share in the outcome.

## Build. Share. Earn. Repeat.

Build something useful. Share what you know. Help another builder. Recommend something you believe in. Solve a real problem.

Earn from the value you help create. Put some of it into what comes next.

The Independent AI Economy will be built by the people who decide it should exist.

**Agents of Mind is where we build it together.**
